Previous Van

**This campervan is SOLD**

  • HiLo Poptop roof

One of the most expensive out there but one of the best. Keeps the profile of the van sleek. Provides considerable roof rack strength should you want one – a lot stronger than nearly all others. Goes up very high so you can sleep either end comfortably. The canvas unzips so you can have it fully open should you wish for panoramic scenic views and totally open roof. Complete with 5 year warranty.

  • Windows
Side and rear windows fitted with the forward ones having sliding openers. Blackout curtains are also fitted. I have improved them with sewn in magnets so they fit tight to the door frames without sagging away.

  • Rear seat
A genuine (expensive) RIB seat is installed in the rear. This folds out fully to a bed and the rear support can be inclined to virtually any angle so you can lay out and read or watch TV etc should you wish. This is a fully M1 crash tested seat and has seat belts fitted. This has been installed with the correct strengthening beam underneath the van. So vitally important for safety when carrying adult or child passengers in the rear.

  • Cabinets
Cabinets are by EvoMotion Design. The colour is gloss white with driftwood work tops. I think this is the best cabinet system out there in terms of build quality. This is the ‘PRO’ version and has the latest handles and soft close drawers etc.

  • Gas hob & sink
SMEV 9722 Twin gas hob and sink. This has electric button ignition and connects to water containers under the seat and gas in the cabinet.

  • Gas works
Gas has been plumbed in with copper piping to the Truma gas regulator. Only from here is there flexible gas pipe used to connect to the gas bottle via an adapter. Drop out vents have been installed where the main gas bottle connections are and under the gas hob area itself.

  • Fridge
Fridge is a Webasto Cruise 49Ltr conventional front door opening one. This provides a freezer compartment as well. Nice to be able to have some ice creams whilst away!

  • Leisure battery
Leisure battery is 110AH under the driver’s seat. This has a split charge system so charges off the main battery when the van is running and also mains hook up which is located under the bonnet. When the leisure battery is charged it switches to then charge the van’s battery.

  • Battery charger
Victron charging unit to charge the battery. This has Bluetooth connection so you can connect to it via your iPhone etc with the Victron app to control the charging or should you wish or see the charge state of the battery.

  • Electrics
Electric cabling has been run through flexible conduit for added protection. The 240volt system is fully earthed and protected via a consumer unit. The 12volt system is fully protected as well by a fuse distribution box. Both these are easily accessible in the rear cabinets. CBE sockets and switches fitted throughout. There are lots(!) of 240v sockets, USB sockets, cigarette lighter sockets fitted everywhere. I don’t think you’ll be needing more!

  • Sound deadening
Dynamat sound deadening has been applied to the van. I think this is the best stuff out there.

  • Insulation
Fully insulated with foil lined foam sheeting and then recycled plastic insulation material.

  • Flooring
Flooring has been installed out of 12mm plywood – bonded to the floor and screwed into wood packer pieces so not screws into the metal floor to avoid future rust issues. Altro flooring has been laid over the top of this fully screened down so there is no movement or any chance of mildew etc forming underneath (when people don’t screed flooring!). This is a light brown colour with some glitter effect and is super strong. Best out there!

  • Audio
Kenwood DMX7018DABS head unit with gloss black surround installed. This is the latest unit from Kenwood and is fully Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Uprated front door and dash speakers by Pioneer.

  • Reverse camera
Reversing camera to provide rear view whilst reversing through the Kenwood head unit. Reversing beepers in the bumper also assist you.

  • Air conditioning.
Vitally important in the summer weather!

  • Front seating
Double front seat kept as this provides useful storage area in the lifting seat base.

  • Swivel seat
Kiravans double front swivel base so you can swivel the seat round. This is yet another expensive swivel seat base – but the strongest and best out there.

  • Lighting
LED lighting switchable either side of the van and dimmable over the sink area.

  • Steering wheel
Superior flat bottomed VW steering wheel fitted.

  • Alloys
Wheels are Zito 18” alloy wheels. These are correctly fully load rated for commercial vehicles. The tyres are also correctly load rated and are 255 width. This size of wheel and tyre combination improves the aesthetics of the van and the grip and handling. I stayed at 18” rather than 20” as this retains ride comfort and means there’s no rubbing of the wheels arches on full lock when turning. Not good for the tyres and an MOT failure issue!

  • Suspension
Gaz coilover fully adjustable suspension is fitted. This allows you to easily adjust the height of the van and the ride softness/hardness. This vastly improves not only the looks of the van but also the ride quality and stability of it. Having a pop top roof fitted to a van means a considerable amount of weight is added to the roof of the van high up. This affects the stability of the van and on standard suspension is not safe, comfortable or re-assuring when going round twist lanes etc

  • Pendle Performance

The engine has been remapped by Pendle Performance. This is a respected company long established. This has improved the power and torque and has made the van a nice smooth drive and should see an increase in mpg.
