**SOLD**
The base for this camper van was a 2018 VW Transport T6. It was a short wheel base version in reflex silver. It has the 150bhp engine with a 7 speed DSG automatic
gearbox. It had approximately 20k miles on the clock and full VW service history.
Also to give it a treat it was just given a Pendle engine and gearbox remap. It really was a nice drive. Very flexible, easy smoother drive. (Thoroughly recommended and thumbs up to Pendle and in particular - Luke
Steven's Developments in Cambs who did it - very professional).
Some of the features are detailed below. I think most things are listed!
One of the most expensive out there but one of the best. Keeps the
profile of the van sleek. Provides considerable roof rack strength should you want one – a lot stronger than nearly all others. Goes up very high so you can sleep either end comfortably. The canvas
unzips so you can have it fully open should you wish for panoramic scenic views and totally open roof. Complete with 5 year warranty.
- Windows
Side and rear windows fitted with the forward ones having sliding openers. Blackout curtains are also fitted - burgundy red to the inside and black to the outside.
- Rear seat
A genuine (expensive) RIB seat is installed in the rear with matching GTi red cloth pattern. This folds out fully to a bed and the rear support can be inclined to virtually any angle so you can lay
out and read or watch TV etc should you wish. This is a fully M1 crash tested seat and has seat belts fitted. This has been installed with the correct strengthening beam underneath the van. So
vitally important for safety when carrying adult or child passengers in the rear. Ag
- Cabinets
Cabinets are by EvoMotion Design. The colour is gloss white with grey driftwood work tops. I think this is the best cabinet system out there in terms of build quality. This is the ‘PRO’ version and
has the latest handles and soft close drawers etc.
- Gas hob & sink
SMEV 9722 Twin gas hob and sink. This has electric button ignition and connects to water containers under the seat and gas in the cabinet.
- Gas works
Gas has been plumbed in with copper piping to the Truma gas regulator. Only from here is there flexible gas pipe used to connect to the gas bottle via an adapter. Drop out vents have been installed
where the main gas bottle connections are and under the gas hob area itself.
- Fridge
Fridge is a Waeco Coolmatic Dometic CRX50 conventional front door opening one. This provides a freezer compartment as well. Nice to be able to have some ice creams whilst away!
Leisure battery is 110AH under the driver’s seat. This is charged via the CTEK D250SE Smart charger. Latest vans can no longer utilise a
more simple split charge relay set up hence the smart charger install.
Victron charging unit to charge the battery. This has Bluetooth connection so you can connect to it via your iPhone etc with the Victron app
to control the charging or should you wish or see the charge state of the battery.
- Electrics
Electric cabling has been run through flexible conduit for added protection. The 240volt system is fully earthed and protected via a consumer unit. The
12volt system is fully protected as well by a fuse distribution box. Both these are easily accessible in the rear cabinets. CBE sockets and switches fitted throughout. There are lots(!) of 240v
sockets, USB sockets, cigarette lighter sockets fitted everywhere. I don’t think you’ll be needing more!
- Sound deadening
Dynamat sound deadening has been applied to the van. I think this is the best stuff out there.
- Insulation
Fully insulated with foil lined foam sheeting and then Dodo Thermo Fleece insulation.
- Flooring
Flooring has been installed out of 12mm plywood – bonded to the floor and screwed into wood packer pieces so not screws into the metal floor to avoid future rust issues. Altro flooring has been laid
over the top of this fully screened down so there is no movement or any chance of mildew etc forming underneath (when people don’t screed flooring!). This is a light grey colour with some glitter
effect and is super strong. Best out there!
- Audio
Alpine Halo 9 floating head unit has been installed. This has full Android Auto and Apple CarPlay function and also links in to a reversing camera. I've also installed an HDMI socket in the front
dash so the head unit can connect to HDMI output devices like games consoles, tablets, phones etc for playback of - whatever - should you desire. Uprated front MTX door speakers have been
installed with 8" driver units for much improved mid bass response. There's also a Rockford Fosgate 10" subwoofer system driven from the head unit by a Kenwood amplifier.
- Air conditioning.
Vitally important in the summer weather!
- Front seating
Two captains seats up the front in GTi red trim. Both really comfortable especially for the passenger now.
- Swivel seat
Single front swivel base so you can swivel the front passenger seat round. This is yet another expensive swivel seat base – but the strongest and best out there.
- Lighting
LED strip lighting either side of the van and at the rear. This is also dimmable.
- Steering wheel
Full Multi Function Steering Wheel with the usual audio and cruise control functions.
- Alloys Wheels
Wheels are Bola CSR 19” alloy wheels. The rears are wider than the fronts to give a deeper dish look. These are correctly fully load rated for commercial vehicles. The tyres are also correctly load
rated and are 275 width at the rear and 245 at the front. I fitted 19” rather than 20” to try and retain some of the ride comfort and means there’s no rubbing of the wheels arches on full lock when
turning. Not good for the tyres and an MOT failure issue!
- Suspension
Bilstein B14 coilover adjustable suspension is fitted. This allows you to easily adjust the height of the van. This vastly improves not only the looks of the van but also the ride quality and
stability of it. Having a pop top roof fitted to a van means a considerable amount of weight is added to the roof of the van high up. This affects the stability of the van and on standard suspension
is not safe, comfortable or re-assuring when going round twist lanes etc.
- Sportline...
A slimmer profiled Sportline front bumper has been installed along with gloss black grills and red highligh strips. The slimmer profile bumper makes the van look tidy and sleek compared to the
standard sportline version. The van also benefits from rear spoiler and large chromed side bars.
- Towbar
A detachable towbar has been fitted with vehicle specific electrics.
- Bits!
LED DRL Headlights, LED Rear lights, carbon fibre mirror covers, piano black and brushed aluminium trim inside, glove box conversion etc
