Noco Boost Plus GB40

I've been looking for a compact jump starter unit to pop in the van should for whatever reason we end up with a flat main battery.

Noco are a recognised brand and do various different types and sizes of jump starters. This one is the GB40 version. It is rated for engines up to 6L for petrol and 3L for diesel and can do up to 20 starts on a single charge. This should be more than adequate for a Transporter and is safe for stop-start engines.

It has lights on the front to indicate the state of charge and reverse polatory protection,

The pack has two torch lights on them which can be switched to various brightness settings or made to flash as a warning device. It has the jump leads to plug in a USB charging cable and a car socket to plug into to charge it up as well,

I also purchased the matching Noco hard case to safely store it in so I can store it in the back of the van safely. you don't have to buy the case as it does come with a nice pouch to pop it into.

I bought the case from Amazon for £13 but the device itself from Halfords for £79(the privilege of having a trade card helps.

I've yet to use it but should I have to I'll let you all know! But so far it looks a nice, tidy, solidly made device and seems to get good reviews. Amazon alone have the device at 4.2 out of 5 stars from 8,000 reviews.
